We prevent domestic violence
Project "RAZEM przeZ NIEmoc" will be maintained from June 2014 to
November 2015. We will provide help for both the victims and
perpetrators of violence. Employees of the CIK as well as the
volounteers working with the Mobile Information-Counseling Point
"NamioCIK" will meet with citizens of Lublin to grant them
specialist help.
As part of the project a series of workshops, classes and meetings
will take place. People will be able to receive counsel in the areas
of law, take part in artetherapeutic trainings of anger replacement,
work on their relationships, marriages, perfect their parental
skills.
Also, a self-help group will be made for women experiencing domestic
violence, as well as small-talks for parents in schools,
kindergardens and nurseries.
Any person may join the project: witnesses of violence,
people under threat, children, couples and partners. We will
post all registration information at the CIK website.
All registration will be performed via email, phone or
personally at the CIK.
Actions which will take place in our city will take different
forms.
Consultation
We will hold individual consultations for the people who act
violently and violence replacement training for teenagers who act
violently. As such, people who have motivation to change will be
able to receive specialist help. As part of the project we will
renovate an intervention apartment, where people who experience
violence, victims of trafficking and people who are experiencing
various crysis could find shelter.
Also, we will perform a social action called "Write a letter - share
your POWER". The project will end with prize giving of "Crystal
Angel" for the people who helped to reduce the case of domestic
violence the most.
Media
The meeting with media (25th June, 2014) began an ongoing (1,5 year) project of preventing violence organized by CIK in Lublin. Innovative actions, which we commenced, are an answer to increasing numbers of official cases of domestic violence in our town. „RAZEM przeZ NIEmoc”, which is the name of the project, costs 190.000 zł, of which 160.000 zł came from Norwegian Funds.
