month / 4 hours.
Number of shifts: 18.
Time: June - September 2014 (9 shifts), May - August 2015
(9 shifts)
We decided to make it easier to access the information and specialized counseling by creating the Mobile Information-Counseling Point at different locations in Lublin'd districts. As part of the project we will buy a mobile tent signed with the mark of the project, where specialists and volunteers will take shifts. Anyone interested in the subject will be able to make use of it. It is a nationally innovative action. The institution goes out to people, making the contact with CIK therapists easier. What is new, is that the specialists go out from the institution to meet their potential clients. We plan to organize 18 4-hour shifts throughout the city of Lublin, where people could take information materials or sign up for the workshops apart from meeting the counselor.
Open law education workshops for people
affected or threatened with violence.
2 x a month x 4
hours.

Time: August - December 2014
The classes take form of workshops and emphasize the practical use of the knowledge including most up to date judicial decisions. We plan a 6-month cycle of workshops for all participants. Law education workshops are innovative nationaly, because no one took such initiative before. As researches show Polish citizens have very little knowledge of law and great need to access such information. What is also new, is the practical approach towards the knowledge and ability to act independently. What is more, we plan to organize a real-life model of court trial and a visit to the court, police station to lower the fear of victims towards law procedures.
Artetherapeuthic workshops for children
(5-10
y.o.) affected or threatened with domestic violence.
2 x a month x 4 hours
Number of participants: 10
people
Time: January - June 2015
Acknowledging the need to work with all family members we
created our programme to work with children in the age of 5-10
who are threatened or affected with domestic violence. The aim
of the meetings is to create a space where the children could
actively react to the troubling emotions connected to the
domestic violence.
During the workshops we will use artetherapeutic methods and
techniques, which are friendly and supprisingly effective while
working with youth. We will organize drum playing classes,
integrational dancing, theatre improvisation, fotography, frame
after frame animation and movies.
As part of the project, we plan to organize a field trip for
children, connected with the workshops.
These types of activities will be held for the first time within
our institution, they are innovative when considering the
methods of work and the fact that there is no such offer in the
area.
Our workshops are based on the idea, that artistic action is a
projection of feelings and emotional states. Well aimed actions
will trigger a new, safe channel of expression, which will be
perfect to work with a group of children.
Artetherapeutic workshops for women
affected with domestic violence.

people.

The group is designed for women affected with violence, who are not aware of their resources and abilities to cope with it, are lacking self esteem, are socially withdrawn and helpless. Throughout our actions we want to achieve their: awareness of personal resources, improving their self esteem, knowledge of own rights, creating the feeling of independence and security, improving social awareness, coping with difficult feelings, planning the future, creating short term life goals. We think, that the key effect of the work would be exiting the role of the victim and greater awareness of strengths and resources, comming out of social isolation.
Training of
interpersonal skills for
couples and marriages threatened with violence.
1 x a
week x 4
hours
Number of
participants: 14 people
Time: October - December 2014
We base this programe on Nonviolent Communication by Marshalla B. Rosenberg,
which is widely used in family and marriage mediations and in
solving conflicts between co-workers. The workshops will take
form of group activities for couples (max. 14 people) threatened
with violence due to negative violent patterns of partner
behiavor in their families or couples who find their first
relationship hard to deal with constructively.
We find the actions innovative as no one offers such workshops
in the area. Apart from that, changing the violent patterns of
behavior is beneficial at the first stage of couples / marriages
relationship, before they are solidified. Replacing them with
constructive patterns gives an opportunity to permanently lower
the generation transmittion of negative patterns.
